We have a new opportunity at Harrogate Borough Council for an Audit Services Manager to join the team based in Harrogate. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week and in return will receive a highly competitive salary of GBP38,052-GBP39,961 per annum.
The Audit Services Manager Role
Harrogate Borough Council is looking for a highly motivated Audit Services Manager to lead our Internal Audit function and drive performance of the Shared Audit Service.
The successful candidate will manage 4 members of staff, fulfilling the role of Chief Audit Executive for this authority and our partnering authority at Craven District Council.
The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of the Finance Service as a member of the Finance Management Team.
Our Ideal Audit Services Manager
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering the Council's approach to Internal Audit. Knowledge of the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards and the Accounts and Audit Regulations is therefore a requirement as is a relevant professional qualification (CCAB, CMIIA or equivalent).
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is outcome focussed with a passion to continually improve the effectiveness of the Council's overall control environment to help deliver on the Council's strategic priorities.
We have recently moved to a new, purpose built office and civic centre in Harrogate and there are other benefits of working here including flexible and agile working, the use of pool cars, leisure facility discounts and the option to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.
