Individual Giving and Supporter Engagement Manager

Leatherhead

GBP34,000 - GBP38,000 + benefits (25 days holiday and pension)

Rainbow Trust Children's Charity enables families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness to make the most of time together, providing expert, practical and emotional support, wherever they need it for as long as it is needed.

This Sunday Times Top 100 Not-For-Profit organisation is looking to appoint an Individual Giving and Supporter Engagement Manager to generate and grow sustainable income.

This is an exciting time for a big picture thinker and experienced people manager to join Rainbow Trust. We are an ambitious charity with a clear vision for growth and a strong sense of values. Reporting to the Head of Engagement, you will take responsibility for devising and delivering the Individual Giving strategy and operational plans, to an income budget of GBP700,000 (around 15% of the charity's total income).

Naturally engaging the commitment of others, and with an excellent track record of managing direct marketing campaigns across a range of media in a managerial position, you will ensure effective stewardship of prospects and donors to drive conversion, retention and improve the lifetime value.

You will have experience of creating and implementing supporter engagement strategies, working collaboratively with digital, PR, marketing and communications teams to deliver integrated campaigns and reach shared goals.

With demonstrable success in delivering income generating and supporter engagement activity, you will be experienced in using customer or supporter databases to segment audiences, target campaigns and drive profitability.

An enthusiastic networker, you will use your knowledge of wider sector trends and opportunities to lead Rainbow Trust's supporter acquisition activity to reach wider audiences. You will develop new fundraising ideas, adopting a test and learn approach, and ensure a strong Individual Giving portfolio and avoid over-reliance on any one income source.

Practical, confident and outgoing, you will thrive working independently and take ownership of delivering something new. Applications will be particularly welcome from those with an IoF, CIM or IDM qualification and professional membership, who have worked in a hands-on environment and those who have sound experience of analysing and interpreting data to drive optimisation.

For a detailed job description visit rainbowtrust.org.uk or call . To apply please send your CV and a covering letter highlighting why your application should be considered above others to us via the link.

Interviews will take place in our Leatherhead office, in Surrey. We will only contact successful applicants. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this post.

Rainbow Trust is an equal opportunities employer and a Best Companies One-Star rated organisation.
