I am currently working with a Regional Refurbishment Contractor to find a successful and proactive Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the North West, working on housing residential refurbishment projects. They are the fastest growing company in this sector holding 5 Quantity Surveoyors in total.
Main Responsibilities;
* Ability to work as a team
* Experience of cost control measures to ensure margin targets achieved
* Familiar with Sub Contract procurement
* Able to review, assess and certify interim subcontractor payments
* Able to produce accurate CVR reports
* Experience of using Estimating and accounts software packages
* Willingness to assist in development of junior members of staff
* Awareness and knowledge of different forms of construction contracts
* Ability to produce and manage external account matters
* Display a proactive approach
* Ensure that good Client relations are developed and maintained
* Report to the Surveyor and Surveying Director
Ideal Candidate:
* Commercial / Quantity Surveying working towards degree (desirable)
* Commercial Administrator experience
* Excellent GCSE & A Level results
* 1 - 2 years' experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor (desirable)
* Must have confident communications skills.
* Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office
