The Tackling Inactivity Project Lead will play a key role in working across the College, leading and managing projects to reduce the number of students that are physically inactive and encourage them to commit to an active lifestyle throughout their life after College.
You will be responsible for developing and coordinating physical activity, sport and recreation opportunities at Kingston College, with particular emphasis on community links and other community groups as appropriate.
We’re looking for an individual who has knowledge and experience in the development of physical activity and sporting opportunities for a wide range of groups and who has experience of outreach work with individuals, small and large organisations and governing bodies. A Sports Development qualification and a relevant HND/Degree is desirable, as is a working knowledge of the National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGB).
The emphasis will be placed on enthusiasm, practical capability, a willingness to learn, being a proactive team member and contributing fully to the work of the Sports Development unit and its professional aspects. You will need to be flexible in your approach, diligent in meeting deadlines and able to work well with other staff, outside agencies and with learners.
This position is based at Kingston College.
