Location: Cardiff

Salary: £25,096 - £30,221 Salary on appointment is at the minimum of the range (pro-rata)

Package: 33 days holiday entitlement per annum + 8 days' public holidays; Civil Service Pension Scheme (MyCSP); purchasing or selling additional annual leave for additional monthly pay.

The Audit Office are looking for a Finance professional to work in their internal Finance Team as a Finance Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

• To work with the Head of Finance, Principal Accountant and Accountant to deliver an exemplar finance function for the Company including the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts, Annual Estimate and Fee Scheme.
• To take delegated responsibility for the day to day running of discrete areas of the Company Finance function. For example, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Cashbook, Payroll, Travel & Subsistence, VAT Returns.
• To work on the WAO Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Time recording systems manage and maintain the financial ledger and peripheral systems and ensure that all employees and creditors are paid accurately and on time and fees are correctly charged to audited bodies in line with the requirements of PAWA 2013.
