Reporting to the Head Chef, our Kitchen Porters support the Catering Manager in helping to achieve the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the College Kitchen and Plate Wash areas.

Title: Kitchen Porter
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Cambridge
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, working both split and straight shifts and alternate weekends.
Salary: £17,550 per annum

Operating the plate wash and pot wash machines, the Kitchen Porter will also be responsible for keeping their work area clean and tidy, and maintaining the College’s high standard of hygiene. The successful applicant will be honest, trustworthy and reliable, and must be able to use good organisational and time management skills to work under pressure at times to meet deadlines. He/she will also be a team player, with the ability to work in harmony with your work colleagues. Previous experience of working in a team and knowledge of the correct use of chemicals (COSHH) in a similar working environment would be an advantage.
