Showroom Sales Assistant
Our Client is the UK's largest agricultural, construction and ground care machinery dealership, turning over GBP115m per annum from 19 locations across East Anglia and the South East and they currently have a vacancy for a Showroom Sales Assistant based at their Fyfield, Ongar Branch in Essex.
Reporting directly to the Parts & Showroom Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day retail sales within the showroom which will include Parts, Hardware and Clothing sales. Your role will be to ensure delivery of excellent customer service at all times by dealing with all queries relating to the products and services supplied by the Company either face to face or over the telephone.
Essential Skills/Experience for the Showroom Sales Assistant will include:
vExcellent people skills and enjoy working with the general public
vSales experience within a retail environment
vExperience of merchandise displays
vEnjoy working in a busy atmosphere and can cope under pressure during busy periods
vGeneral computer skills and familiarity with email and internet use
vAttention to detail and accuracy with numbers, handling of cash, cheque and card payments
vA team player-capable of working alone or with other team staff
vAble to use own initiative
Additional Information for the Showroom Sales Assistant:
The hours are 39hrs per week - 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm Fridays (1hr unpaid lunch). Saturdays as per rota. Due to the location, you will need to have your own transport.
