An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Account Clerk working in a fast growing company.
Person specification
- An accountancy background
- A clear understanding of office environments
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- AAT qualified
- Experience of working with Sage 50
Account Clerk duties
- Key data into company accounting system
- Enter and code financial transactions appropriately
- Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
- Preparing monthly management reports.
- Preparing statutory accounts.
- Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct.
- Reconciling Invoices received with various departments
- Issuing Invoices and statements to customers based on services rendered and/or goods sold
- Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any related queries.
- Make bank deposits when required and keep up records
- Managing petty cash transactions.
- Controlling credit and chasing debt.
- Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits.
- VAT Calculation
- Processing Payroll
- Review employee expenses and and make reimbursements
- Track expenses as they relate to specific projects and jobs
