An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Account Clerk working in a fast growing company.

 

Person specification

  • An accountancy background
  • A clear understanding of office environments
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • AAT qualified
  • Experience of working with Sage 50

 

Account Clerk duties

  • Key data into company accounting system
  • Enter and code financial transactions appropriately
  • Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
  • Preparing monthly management reports.
  • Preparing statutory accounts.
  • Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct.
  • Reconciling Invoices received with various departments
  • Issuing Invoices and statements to customers based on services rendered and/or goods sold
  • Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any related queries.
  • Make bank deposits when required and keep up records
  • Managing petty cash transactions.
  • Controlling credit and chasing debt.
  • Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits.
  • VAT Calculation
  • Processing Payroll
  • Review employee expenses and and make reimbursements
  • Track expenses as they relate to specific projects and jobs
