Mobile Civil Enforcement Officer

If so, NSL are currently recruiting for a Mobile Civil Enforcement Officer
What you will be doing???
Working at the Durham Park & Ride, where you will be patrolling the car parks to deter crime and assist customers at the Park & Ride with the use of the service and the operation of the Pay Station Machines. You will also be assisting customers with charging batteries/changing tyres if required.
You will also be required to assist Civil Enforcement Officers with the enforcing of the Traffic Management Act 2004 in the County of Durham. Civil Enforcement Officers are the eyes and ears of the local community, patrolling areas, providing advice to residents, and members of the public, whist enforcing road traffic orders and issuing parking fines. You will play a significant role in reducing traffic congestion, and improving air quality through the enforcement of parking restrictions.
Your day will be spent, mostly outside, in all weathers, walking up to 10 miles per day, so please consider this before you apply. You will be dealing with members of the public face to face, so customer service must be something you enjoy, sometimes in difficult situations.
You will be required to work 44 hours per week, Monday to Saturday (excluding Bank Holidays). This will be 12 hour shifts covering a 4 day week on a 3 weekly rota.
What you will need???
You must enjoy dealing with people, be friendly polite, and willing to offer support, advice and assistance to colleagues and customers. PC skills would also be an advantage, as you will be using a hand held device daily.
