Job Title: Regional HR Advisor
Salary: Range GBP30k - GBP35k dependant on experience

Hours of work 37.5 per week
Location: Outskirts of Glos, Bucks and Essex
Our client is a well established and highly successful business, who are leaders in their field.
They are seeking a Regional HR Advisor to work as part of the wider HR team located at various sites across the country.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide generalist HR support to several departments throughout the company involving Employee Lifecycle, in particular; Recruitment, Employee Relations issues and Change; a key focus is ensuring that the department/s have the right resources at the right time and arranged well in advance.
This is an exciting, varied and dynamic role offering opportunities where you can be involved and input in many areas of change and progress including the introduction of an HR System, a review of processes and the reporting associated with effective and proactive HR strategy such as succession planning, general people-reporting and training and development.
Being responsible for around 40 locations nationwide, typically, you would spend the week alternating between sites, as and when required with some home working.
Key Responsibilities
* Working closely with line managers to understand the area of the business and develop a 'People Plan' including;
* planning out current and future workforce structures and recruiting new
* supporting line managers with arranging seasonal recruitment and work with them to ensure that key roles are trained to the required
* Implementing suitable engagement and retention mechanisms
* Managing all Employee Relations issues on-site for the business area, including investigations disciplinary hearings and grievances.
* Work with line managers to oversee HR processes and ensure these are followed in respect of new starters, leavers, changes.
* To support with joint projects with the HR team including policy formation, management training and other ad-hoc projects
* Being the first point of contact for line manager and employee queries, directing these to the HR Services team when appropriate but in all cases being the 'face of HR' for the relevant business area/s
Knowledge and Skill required:
* Good working knowledge of Employment Law, able to handle basic grievance, investigation and disciplinary hearings without supervision
* High levels of PC literacy including an excellent knowledge of MS Office software
* Good interpersonal skills including a confident and professional but friendly personal approach, a good telephone manner / email correspondence
* Strong work ethic - there is a high workload and the individual must be able to manage with high volumes and competing priorities
* Very organised approach with ability to prioritise quickly and effectively and ensuring high levels of accuracy at all times
* Good communication skills and able to work effectively with the rest of the HR team
* Excellent data-handling skills, being able to handle complex and varied data and information with minimum accuracy issues, particularly where there may be a lack of data and information from line managers or historic personnel records.
The role will best suit an experienced Regional HR Advisor who is used to working in a standalone capacity with frequent travel, but enjoys being part of a wider HR team, nationally.
As a Regional HR Advisor, the successful applicant will use their experience of providing highly professional, confident and accurate HR Advice to line managers and employees. You will be a self-starter who possesses a 'can do' attitude and be able to 'hit the ground running' with most of the duties described above.
