JOB TITLE: Company Accountant

THE COMPANY: Our client has over 30 years' experience offering a diverse range of quality managed services across all sectors - public and private - including; Facilities Support Services, Construction Support Services, Industrial Support Services, Utility Data Capture and Process Equipment Refurbishment and provide bespoke, cost effective solutions and services tailored to exceed any requirements.
They now seek an Accountant who has relevant experience to join their existing team which is based in Campsie Industrial Estate in Derry, Londonderry.
THE ROLE: As a Company Accountant key responsibilities will include the production of management accounts to strict reporting deadlines, the management of working capital, cash flow analysis, tax returns, liaison with banks and auditors, nominal ledger maintenance and ad-hoc projects. Initially this post will be a contract position for a minimum period of one year and would suit a dynamic individual with drive and ambition. In return our client offer an attractive negotiable remuneration package, which is consummate with experience.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Accountants role must have previous experience in a similar role within the Accounts function of a busy office and should have a professional accounting qualification such as an ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification, and must have strong analytical skills as well as the ability to communicate to both finance and non-finance members of staff. Working knowledge of Sage Accounting software and Payroll systems and the ability to use Microsoft Excel would be desirable. Knowledge in job costing within sage would be an advantage but is not essential. Candidates should be highly accurate and have excellent presentation skills (oral and written) as well as an ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines is essential. Newly qualified applicants would also be considered and are encouraged to apply.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Company Accountants role :-
- Previous experience in a busy accounts function is essential
- Must have a professional accountancy qualification
- Experience using Accounts Package and Payroll systems as well as Microsoft Excel experience essential
- Should have good knowledge and experience using Sage accountancy software
- Flexibility in relation to varying business demands
- Must live within commutable distance to Derry, Londonderry
