Gi Group are currently recruiting for an Estates Maintenance Plumber for a hospital in the City of London.
Scope of the role
To undertake plumbing and some mechanical piped system maintenance, repairs, upgrades and improvements across the Trust as part of Estates Maintenance and Operations team to a high standards without direct supervision, ensuring at all times compliance with Trust's safety standards and procedures.
Main duties and responsibilities
• Organise and undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Respond to breakdowns and effect repairs
• Undertake minor projects
• Assembling of new plant
• Carry out site measurements
• Gain material estimations and passing to team leader for purchasing
Skills and abilities
• Experience in interpreting, interrogating and sense checking equipment
• Ability to assess breakdown situations
• Diagnose faults
• Solve problems and affect solutions
Education, Training and qualifications
• City and Guilds level 3 in plumbing or mechanical engineering
• 3 years of relevant practical experience
• In depth understanding of C.O.S.H.H regulations for handling, storing, usage and disposal of chemicals
