This is a temporary to permanent position as a Fabric cutter
In a perfect location to access major international transport routes, the Textiles' fabric and wallpaper distribution centre is one of the largest and most advanced facilities of its type in Europe.
a) To Fold/Gimp/Label cloth - Time taken when trained is x1 roll= 1.25hrs
b) Pick Cuttings ( including replenishment of stock, when low) target to achieve is (Apply online only) per hour
c) How to Scan & Confirm/ Pack orders- Trained target time 400 per hour normal orders, Big orders approximately (Apply online only) per hr
d) Housekeeping.
All to be achieved at a good level.
At the end of the induction period the employee should be able to;
o Perform routine tasks to the satisfaction of their mentor, supervisor and manager

THE JOB INVOLVES:
• Picking fabric cuttings from location and re-ordering cloth if Necessary to replenish stock levels.
• Checking stock levels on the system.
• Usage of a scanner/Computer to confirm picking lists and putting lines on back order/cancelling lines..
• The understanding of our Cuttings despatch collation rack - in here we keep Countries collated orders/customer collection orders/ and departmental orders etc.
• How to fold cloth correctly and how to use a Pinking machine and how to correctly label each cutting created from this process- which is very important as incorrect cuttings can cost very dearly if the customer has curtains/sofas etc made up incorrectly because of an incorrect label of a cuttings sent out.
• The understanding of our postage system ( and different sized envelopes per different sized cuttings) when we are sending out the Confirmed cuttings orders.
• Upon fully trained- be able to achieve targets set out, and be able to work on their own at times- using their own iniatative
