If you've the ambition and tenacity to help us make that vision a reality, this is an exciting opportunity to join our new Forest and Stroud Targeted Family Support Service.

This key role will see you work closely with vulnerable families across the area, offering support and a range of services that improve outcomes for children and their parents. That'll mean assessing their particular needs, then working in both one-to-one and group settings as you facilitate the delivery of services including targeted support groups and parenting programmes.

In all of this, you will work collaboratively with colleagues in Barnardo's and external organisations to foster a genuine multi-agency approach that achieves exceptional results.

So strong communication and team working skills are essential, along with an NVQ level 3 qualification in Child Care, Learning and Development (or equivalent). You should also bring sound experience of working with vulnerable children and families, plus a good understanding of safeguarding and welfare issues. As you'll be working at our Children and Family Centres across the area, you must also have a full driving licence and access to your own transport.
