DEPOT ENGINEERING MANAGERS - various locations

McGill's Bus Service Ltd are Scotland's largest privately owned Bus Company and employ around 900 employees within 5 locations with Depots based in the Renfrewshire/Inverclyde and Lanarkshire areas.

We currently have a position for Depot Engineering Managers at various Depot locations.

The primary role is to carry out a wide range of duties which includes managing the Engineering workshops to ensure that all health and safety requirements are met and that all vehicles are repaired to the highest standards. Carry out Depot inspections to ensure that all equipment is maintained to the required standard.

Manage the vehicle inspection program, carry out pre-MOT inspections. Complete inspection, defect, mileage, KPI, wages and audit reports to appropriate departments on a weekly basis. Liaise with Operations department to provide daily peak vehicle requirements.

Organise shift patterns to provide optimum cover for the business needs, carry out audits on vehicles, ensure Company records and Depot Equipment is within compliance to McGill's Bus Service Ltd standards and assist in the smooth Managerial operation of the Engineering department as required by Senior Management within the budget requirements.

Hours worked will be based on the requirements of the job, minimum of 48 working week
