Parts Manager

Location: Aldershot area

Salary: GBP25,000 to GBP28,000 Basic + OTE GBP32,000 to GBP33,000

Our client a Commercial Franchise Main Dealership, are looking for a Parts Manager to manage their existing parts department based in the Aledrshot area

The Role:

  • Promoting parts internally & externally
  • Adhering to health & safety
  • Liaising, negotiating and implementing policy in conjunction with the manufacturer
  • Working & hitting monthly/quarterly targets
  • Have full responsibility for P&L
  • Controlling stock/Stock Management
  • To effectivley coordinate the parts department
  • Liaise with the Aftersales manager and other site managers

Responsibilities:

  • To develop the departments customer base by formulating and implementing an effective sales plan
  • To ensure the department has the correct equipment and facilities required to maximise productivity
  • To ensure the department plays a full and active role in supporting the manufacturer's 24 hr recovery and warranty policies in order to ensure customers are supported within the manufacturer's charter.
  • Recruit, train, supervise; develop all Parts personnel in order to ensure employee job satisfaction, commitment to achievement of business objectives, and retention of technical knowledge.
  • Establish and achieve personal objectives as agreed with Group Aftersales Manager
  • Ensure that all regulations on health and Safety are adhered to by all staff and visitors and conform to Group policy in order to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure that the customer reception and displays meet the manufacturer's quality objectives and staff are developed to achieve maximum customer and own satisfaction

Requirements for this role:

  • You must have experience in the passenger vehicle parts industry
  • Good understanding of automotive parts retail, merchandising, sales and marketing.
  • Very strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter, independent and very able to work under own initiative
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Computer literate, with experience of Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint

In order to be suitable for this role you must have automotive parts experience.
