Mechanical Design Engineer - Leicester

The company is a globally recognised brand and the product of choice for many customers.

Their engineering and manufacturing facility is all under one roof in Leicester. With over a century of designing and continuously developing products for the most demanding of customers, they have earned the trust of their customers with whom they work closely to continue developing their already world class range of products.

The company is now looking to employ an additional Mechanical Design Engineer. The Engineer will work across all engineering, design and manufacturing teams and as such, will possess good communication and problem solving skills in addition to solid core design skills. In addition the successful candidate will familiar with preparing documentation to support product descriptions and manufacturing. The role will report directly to the Director of Engineering.

Responsibility will cover the design and development of precision mechanical systems (to micron level!) using SolidEdge ST10 and will be responsible for the full project life cycle from initial concept through to finished product.

The successful candidate will ideally be qualified to degree level in an engineering related discipline and have experience of mechanical design in a related industry designing products to high tolerances (to micron level) and specifications.

If you have SolidEdge experience so much the better, but 2+ years of experience other high level CAD systems is a pre-requisite
