Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only, 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

We are currently recruiting for a Cashier and Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team here at South Devon College.  You will be responsible for processing monetary transactions, providing excellent face-to-face customer service on the Cashiers desk and providing administrative support for the College online shop.  You will work closely with the Cashbook Controller to ensure smooth banking reconciliation on a daily basis and provide assistance within the Finance team as required.

The successful candidate will need to have GCSE English and maths (or equivalent), Accounting experience, including cash control, and excellent numeracy skills.  The ability to use Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word and Outlook, is essential, along with advanced clerical skills and keyboard accuracy.  We are looking for someone who can maintain confidentiality and work accurately to meet deadlines without supervision.
