My client are one of the UK's largest Housing developers who produce high quality homes across the country. They are currently looking for a design engineer to join there Technical and design team based in the Warrington area.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the main elements of the role will be to carry out engineering appraisals and technical reviews to assist the Land Buying and Planning departments and to provide a practical and cost-effective solution to engineering problems.

Responsibilities:

• You will help prepare viability studies across different sites.
• Ensure all engineering issues are resolved within planning stages.
• Ensure all engineering drawings are readily available for pre concept meetings
• Oversee design and detailing carried out by external consultant and you will be responsible for providing designs for new estate roads and sewers including section 38 and 104 agreements.

You will also have drainage design experience (Micro Drainage, PDS), as a large part of your role will be to work alongside the in-house engineering team to prepare designs for roads and sewers and infrastructure for the purpose of construction and planning applications.

To qualify for this exciting opportunity, the company are seeking an experienced qualified Design Engineer who has a proven track record of working within the New Build Housing or consultancy sectors.

HND/ HNC/, NVQ/ City and Guilds/ OND and ONC qualifications (E)

Engineering Certificate (D)

Civil/structural design (D)

CAD (D)
