Arborist

RPS is an established provider of arboriculture professional and technical support services to the private sector, local and central government.
We work with our clients by providing expert advice on tree and woodland related issues and to ensure that they clearly understand the impacts of trees within the planning system.
Main Responsibilities:
• Undertake tree surveys in accordance with BS5837:2012
• Contribute to and prepare Arboriculture Assessments and Method Statements
• Undertake arboriculture Clerk of Works duties on development sites
• Assist with data analysis, evaluation, report writing and project research
Skills and qualifications required:
• Tertiary level qualification in arboriculture or similar discipline
• UK driving license
• Access to own vehicle
• Competent user of the complete Microsoft package
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to write clearly, concisely, and to be able to assimilate information into intelligible reports
Desirable Skills:
• GIS and/or AutoCad experience with tree related software
• Knowledge of the UK planning system
• Knowledge of the law relating to trees, its principles
