Driver Require is a highly successful specialist recruitment agency, supplying temporary commercial drivers to the logistics and distribution sector. An award-winning company, we have steadily grown our presence across the Home Counties, extending our coverage to the South Coast and as far north as Tamworth.

For several years we have been working as Master Vendor for the supply of temporary LGV1 and van drivers to Ocado's national operations, currently comprising 3 sites: Hatfield, Dordon (near Tamworth) and Andover. Ocado is soon due to commence LGV operations at its new site in Erith (Dartford) and consequently we have decided that the account has grown to the point that it warrants a National Account Manager.

We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to take on this exciting new role, which we believe will be a tremendous opportunity for the right candidate.

If you have experience of working as a local or regional Account Manager on a temporary driver supply contract, this is an opportunity to take on a National Account Management role, applying best practice and working at a senior level within the Driver Require team.

The job role is as follows:

Contract management:

* Contract administration - review terms, specs, SLA levels and prepare for contract renewal points

* Review competitive rates and work with Ocado to adjust rates to match the changing environment

* Anticipate insurance, legal and regulatory changes; work with Ocado to amend the terms accordingly

Operations management:

* Monitor planning and client service by site

* Weekly visits to each DR Account Team

* Manage client relations, meet regularly, address issues and complete action items:

* Attend Quarterly Review Meetings; monthly meeting with each Ocado Transport Mgr and with Training Mgr, and attend fortnightly Planning Meeting in Hatfield.

* Manage incidents and infringements: reports, disclaimers, insurance claims

Team management:

* Roster planning and management

* Performance & remuneration management: performance and bonus reviews

* Staffing, recruitment and succession planning

2nd Tier management:

* Administer 2nd Tier contracts & official communications

* Monitor 2nd Tier usage levels and quality of service and drivers

* Ensure 2nd Tier process compliance by DR and the 2nd Tier

* Attend 2nd Tier audits with local Account Manager

Internal compliance:

* Adherence to DR processes, systems and procedures

* Planning, availability management, shift recording & reporting

* Driver registration and record maintenance

* Conduct regular audits of each Account Mgt Team

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

* Demonstrable experience of successfully running a multi-site blue-chip account management team.

* A good understanding of the key success factors for ensuring a long term cooperative client partnership.

* An excellent customer service ethic, going "beyond the extra mile" to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

* Be assertive and be able to diplomatically promote and defend our principles and standards.

* Be an excellent man manager and motivator.

* Operate with high integrity and demand the highest standards at all times.

* Be a good communicator with excellent diplomatic skills and be adept at defusing conflict situations.

* Be numerate, literate and have good IT skills.

* Have excellent administrative skills and appreciate the need for rigorous record keeping in order to adhere to the industry compliance requirements and to minimise corporate liability exposure.

This position comes with a competitive On-Target package of GBP45k. This package comprises a Base Salary, Car Allowance and On-Target Bonus.
