Senior Town Planner - Bristol
HA 8035
Salary: Negotiable depending on skills and experience
Our client, a UK leading multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy are urgently looking to appoint an experienced Senior Town Planner to join their ever growing team in Bristol. The company deliver expert Planning, EIA, Acoustics and Sustainability services for their clients in the residential, commercial, infrastructure and education sectors.
Qualifications:
Ideally candidates will have a relevant planning related BSc / MSc (or equivalent) and will have achieved Chartered status with the RTPI.
Experience:
Applications are sought from candidates with a minimum of eight years planning experience, preferably within a consultancy environment, preparing planning applications and appeals, liaising with clients and local authorities and formulating development strategies. Applicants who also have impact assessment experience will be at an advantage.
Duties:
* Preparing planning applications and appeals
* Advising landowners and developers on projects and policy issues
* Negotiating with local authorities
* Present proposals at planning committees
* Assisting the Director with the winning of new work
* Mentoring junior members of staff
