Salary: Grade 8/9 (£28,221 - £36,153 per annum, depending on experience)
Permanent, 37 hours per week
Location: Neath Civic Centre
It’s an exciting time in Children and Young People Services as we continue to make solid progress towards our aims of achieving quality, supporting families and effectively managing risk. We are currently looking for two experienced Social Workers for one of our front-line Community Children’s Teams based in Neath Civic Centre. Applicants are required to have at least two years’ experience working as a qualified social worker in a local authority.
The Service has separate Intake and LAC teams. Social workers in the Community Teams carry out work with children and families following initial investigations. Applicants are required to have at least two years’ experience working as qualified social workers in a local authority and must have experience in undertaking Section 47 investigations, child protection and the public law outline.

Please note that you must possess a relevant qualification in Social Work and be registered with the Care Council for Wales.
