The job
The purpose of the Quality Technician is to ensure that the site adheres to legal compliance, food safety and quality standards and KPI targets. You will support the site in the production of the highest quality products with maximum plant efficiencies and minimum wastage.
Key responsibilities include maintaining the quality management system to ensure that all relevant standards (e.g. BRC, HACCP, and Customer Code of Practice) are achieved, implement food safety & quality strategies, assisting with NPD trials, carrying out product quality assessments and raw material checks plus support the awareness of the importance of food quality for all employees.
Your experience
You should ideally be of graduate / HND calibre in a food related discipline and have some quality assurance experience within a food manufacturing environment. You will ideally have a good working knowledge of quality assurance principles, GMP and internal auditing plus an awareness of HACCP and BRC requirements. You will possess excellent English communication skills plus be a problem solver and have high attention to detail.

The Quality Technician role is based in the South West region and is paying c. GBP18,000, calculated at GBP8.95 per hour plus GBP15 extra per night shift. The core working hours are Monday to Friday office hours, however flexibility will be required to cover early, late and night shifts as the business manufacturers 24 hours per day.
