AJ Chambers are recruiting for a highly successful 2 Partner Accountancy Practice, who are looking for an AAT Qualified/ACCA Part-Qualified Accounts Assistant to join their team in their Pinner office.

The practice likes to promote from within so there will be progression opportunites available in the future for the right candidate.

You will be assisting with various accounting and bookkeeping tasks on a day to day basis.

Main Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with bookkeeping assignments and the preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts as required.
  • Competent use of a computerised accounting package, e.g. SAGE/Xero.
  • Assist with the preparation of year end working paper files and assisting auditors.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT returns and P11D forms.
  • Work at client premises, gaining awareness of business activities and operations.
  • Work with Partners and staff to provide a personal, professional service for the benefit of both clients and the Firm.
  • Such other duties as may be reasonably expected of the post holder.

Accounts Assistant Requirements

  • Education to 'A' Level or equivalent
  • AAT qualified/part qualified or ACCA Part-Qualified
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an accountancy practice
  • CCH Accounts Production, Sage and/or Xero Software experience desirable
