Our client is a forward-thinking social organisation that positively impacts communities. They're also proud to create opportunities that make things happen - for people, families, homes and communities. They're a busy team with lots to do and can only achieve this if they've got the right resources so look for people and partners with as much enthusiasm and passion as they have for making things happen.

Supporting the delivery of a high-quality income management service to tenants, the Income Coordinator will be responsible for taking recovery action, negotiating repayments and offering advice and assistance.

Providing an effective, tenant focussed rent and other debt collection service to tenants using creative and wide-ranging methods of making contact, you will liaise with the Housing Benefit Department, Department of Work and Pensions and make effective use of all information that is available to reduce debt and maximise income.

Assisting income officers in ensuring tenants are supported to repay debt in an affordable, sustainable and reasonable manner, you will play a major role in ensuring that the team achieves the performance management framework income targets and delivers an excellent service to tenants; taking a full and active role in the implementation of your own personal development and participating in the training and development of colleagues.

With experience of working within a busy tenant focussed environment and strong IT skills, candidates will have proven experience of dealing with public and outside agencies/partners and of working to performance targets.  Specific experience of working in a rent collection, debt or income management environment and leasehold and service charges collection role would be beneficial and you will ideally demonstrate a basic understanding of current social housing issues including welfare reform.

As well as a competitive salary and a generous holiday entitlement, our client offers a range of benefits for a rewarding career including a health cash plan, pension scheme, child care vouchers and staff discount club membership. They’ll also make sure you get the training and benefits you deserve.

Our client is currently under represented by Ethnic Minorities, LGBT Groups and people with a Disability and would particularly welcome applications from these groups, however any appointment would be made on merit.

Closing date: 4 weeks – however, please note that this may close earlier dependant on interest
