Buyer - Tools & Machinery

We're working with a market leader in the professional tools sector, who are currently seeking a Buyer to join their established team identifying and sourcing a wide range of products from the Far East. The ideal candidate will be located within 45 minutes' drive from Waltham Abbey, and have previous experience of buying hard goods from the Far East, ideally complete electrical or mechanical goods as opposed to raw materials or components, although more advanced components in terms of their size and structure may be considered.

Reporting in to the Purchasing Director, the Buyer will be focused on identifying products and ranges that are needed, and then selecting products for wholesales and retail sales, signing off stock purchasing. You will be working closely with the rest of the buying and testing teams, and marketing to ensure products are getting sold, and are fit for purpose, whilst also identifying poor performing areas, ones which need to be removed from the range, and others that perhaps just need some promotion and their price adjusted.
