Electronic Verification Technician
My client is an award-winning online retailer revolutionising grocery shopping in the UK with engineering innovation. Due to a rapid growth in product development activities they now have a need for a verification technician.
This role is an exciting and challenging role. This role is pivotal to the continual development of new automation products and equipment.
The reliability, root cause and verification team are growing hugely already within a growing product development department, we are looking for talented technicians who ideally will have a background in electro-mechanical product development / testing.
Role & Responsibilities
The key functions for the Electronic Verification Technician are:
Perform functional testing of electronic assemblies to required quality and schedule requirements
Diagnose test equipment related faults
Assist engineering with any ongoing investigations / initiatives.
Support the reliability and verification engineers to define and plan the test strategies for products and subsystems.
Identify material and resource requirements for testing.
Ensure full implementation of test plans.
Manage and drive the product and rig testing
Pro-actively identify and manage any constrains / barriers which could affect testing or testing schedule.
To collate, interpret and report the data generated via testing.
To support the identification of root cause and participate in solution generation.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
HNC in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
Understanding of electronic principles and problem solving techniques
Ability to read and interpret technical data including circuit diagrams and schematics
Methodical and analytical approach to work
Strong communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Experience of building modular electro-mechanical test rigs is desirable
Ability to work on multiple projects and manage time appropriately.
Conducting pilot plant trials to support new product development (NPD).
