Job Outline:

A developer of test instrumentation is now looking for an Electronics Engineer, to join their rapidly growing design team.

Based at their main offices in Devon, we are looking for an Engineer who can apply their skills in analogue and digital electronics design and embedded software development to further develop a range of innovative test instrumentation.

Your primary duties will include the design of new, and further development of existing, instrumentation.

You will design the electronics, hardware and firmware, and should be able to integrate into prototypes.

This will include considering Design-For-Test and Design-For-Manufacture with a practical understanding of EMC.

You will develop electronic hardware using FPGA and Embedded Microcontrollers; plus embedded Software using C, C++, C# and Matlab or Python.

This is an exciting time, for a dynamic and enthusiastic Electronics Engineer, to join a small but growing company who are taking their prototype instrument through to full manufacturing.

Working from my client's site in Devon, you will be required to occasionally travel to partner sites in other parts of the UK.

Qualifications:

As the successful candidate you will be qualified to Degree Level in Electronics, Engineering, Maths, Physics or relevant discipline, and be familiar with Electronics design.

Experience:

Experience working within an R&D Environment, developing prototype and new products is essential.

A familiarity with Schematic Capture, PCB Layout and Design, Embedded Circuit Design, FPGA development and C# are desirable.

Ideally you will also have gained experience in the development of electronics for test instrumentation, or similar.

Experience in the full product life cycle experience, taking initial concepts through design, system requirements, to test and final installation is preferred.
