Job Term: Permanent / Full Time
Job Outline:
A market leader in the development of Electronic and Opto-Electronic Products is now looking for a Lead Inspector to join the Quality Department.
Your main duties will be to maintain the quality standards, approving in-coming materials, in-process production, finished products and recording quality results.
You will approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual inspection and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
In addition you will approve in-process production first off activities by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor/operator.
This will include conducting visual and automated inspection activities on part finished and finished goods.
You will also select output samples and check the samples using appropriate methods.
Approving finished products you will confirm compliance to specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests and returning non-compliant materials and products for re-work.
Once complete you will confirm the re-works meet required standards.
You will document inspection results, producing reports and logs; summarising re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
It is expected that you will keep yourself, and the company up to date with current job knowledge by participating in training/educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
Experience:
Ideally you will have prior experience working in Quality or Inspection role within a similar manufacturing environment.
Additional Information:
Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of Visa and Passport will be requested.
