Composite Laminators

A fantastic opportunity for skilled permanent Composite professionals has just become available for Plymouth's largest Yacht manufacturers. As a Composite Technician based in Plymouth, the main purpose of the job will be to manufacture Carbon Fibre components using Pre-Preg technique. The ideal candidate will have experience within the whole process of Carbon Fibre Laminating. Detailed information regarding main duties and the key skills required for this role are listed below:

Main duties/tasks:

* Make good any mould defects using plasticene

* Cut material and fit

* Layer fully ready for Bagging

* Vacuum bag ready for oven

* Install structural components as required in accordance with drawings etc.

* Release mould

* Secondary bonding as required

Key skills required:

* Pre-preg laminating experience essential.

* Good hand skills as a varied range of hand/air tools/applicators are used.

* Ability to follow read and understand Technical Drawings and Work Instructions.

Hours of work:

* Usually Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 5pm however shift flexibility is required as other shifts are available.
