Job Profile for CNC Programmer - Milling - TP132452

CNC Offline Programmer - Milling required for a leading precision engineering firm based in the Coventry area.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have experience with the generating of programs for CNC machinery. It is also envisaged that the successful candidate will be looking for a long term full time position and have experience working with Fanuc or Heidenhain controls.

CNC Programmer - Milling Position Overview

The successful CNC Programmer will have experience working with Milling machinery, alongside Fanuc, Heidenhain or similar controls.

Other responsibilities will include;

• Will be able to determine the most efficient and effective manufacturing process for producing parts and write the appropriate code.
• Work with shop floor colleagues to conduct post implementation refinement of programs.
• Setup, program, operate and troubleshoot CNC mills without assistance.
• Monitor, document, and control any changes made to CNC programs.

CNC Programmer - Milling Position Requirements

• Generate CNC Programs for 3,4 & 5 axis milling machines.
• Produce part models
• Ability to perform online programming (at a machine control).
• Troubleshoot machining related issues (tool, manufacturing process, or mechanical).
• Ability to reduce setup time and machining through process improvements.
• Control the handling of CNC programs from the server to CNC machines.

CNC Programmer - Milling Position Remuneration

• Salary GBP10 - GBP16 per hour (dependant on experience)
• Night / Late shifts, Monday to Friday
• 33 days' holiday including bank holidays
• Pension
