About Ben’s Cookies

Years have gone by and we expanded our business through the UK and internationally. We have 43 stores (and growing!) in 8 countries across the world, going from the UK where it all started, to the US, Asia and the Gulf region.

About the Role

We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Store Manager to run our newest UK store in Cambridge (Market Street). You will be fully responsible for the successful running of the store and be responsible for the store team.

  • To be fully responsible for all aspects of staff management; recruitment of new staff, training, managing holidays, absences and dealing with any staffing issues
  • To ensure that the store is staffed effectively according to the needs of the store, including producing effective rotas and ensuring that any staff absences are covered appropriately
  • To ensure that all Company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times by all staff (particularly with regards to Health & Safety and Food Safety Management)
  • To successfully manage your staffing/labour budget
  • To ensure that the store and all equipment in the store is clean, safe and fully functioning at all times
  • To ensure that all till and cash handling duties are carried out within the parameters of our policies and procedures, including monitoring takings and till reports, cashing up and banking
  • To be overall responsible for ensuring that the cookie display is always kept to our high standards
  • To be overall responsible for regular stock takes of all consumables and non-consumables in the store
  • To ensure that you have a full range of products available in your store at all times, which requires efficient stock-taking and ordering skills
  • To effectively deal with any customer services in your store and to assist customers in all aspects of their purchase (including answering queries on product ingredients, explaining special offers, serving hot and cold drinks and etc.)

What We Offer

  • Salary of £25,000
  • A quarterly bonus of up to 20% of base salary based upon performance against targets in relation to sales, staffing costs, mystery shopping, internal audits and quality of products
  • 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
  • Company Pension Scheme
  • A fun and friendly team environment
