About Us:

Pioneer Educational Trust is a charity aiming to provide quality education currently through three schools in Slough and Windsor. The Trust has plans to expand in the near future and is therefore looking to get ready for the challenges ahead. We are therefore looking for an immediate start to help us with this exciting prospect. The role is for 6 months initially.

About the role:

The post holder will provide Pioneer Educational Trust with essential accounting and financial control functions. The role includes producing monthly management accounts, budgets and cash flows for each school. The Trust is looking to improve the financial systems that it has and is therefore looking for someone able to deliver change to fully utilise the financial software capability. This post holder will work closely with the Director of Finance & Operations.

About you:

To be able to perform this role you will need a good honours degree and a professional accounting body qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or significant proven experience gained from a similar position. (QBE), a minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant role and experience in preparing management accounts. You will have experience undertaking bank & balance sheet reconciliations, preparing accruals and prepayments schedules and possess a mature understanding of financial controls.

We are looking for someone who will bring change and improvements to our finance function, has experience of financial accounting and possesses strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and understanding of finance software packages.

Knowledge of PS Financials, charity accounting and experience in working for charities and in a small team environment will be an advantage.
