The Wildlife Trusts believe that people are part of nature and that a healthy, wildlife-rich world is the foundation of our wellbeing and prosperity. We are a grassroots movement for nature and believe that everyone deserves to experience the joy of wildlife.

We are currently looking for a Governance Officer to work for The Wildlife Trusts in our central charity in a vital new role. The post will act as a Secretary to The Wildlife Trust’s Council and its sub committees and will support the development of governance frameworks.

If you are clear thinking, well organised with experience of complex organisations we hope that you will apply.

With a high level of written skills, you will have a good level of experience in providing administrative support at a senior level. You will have proven experience of coordinating complex reports and presentations, taking minutes and managing projects.

There are 46 Wildlife Trusts which are each corporate members of the central charity, Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT). The Wildlife Trusts have an unmatched presence on the ground with 2800 staff and 43,000 volunteers helping to inspire millions of people about wildlife every year and save places for wildlife. Being part of The Wildlife Trust movement enables you to make a real difference and we look for people who are willing to take responsibility, and show courage and integrity.

The Wildlife Trusts is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.

If you feel this is the role for you then we look forward to hearing from you.
