FINTEC recruit is seeking a Mechanical Support Technician for our client in the marine sector. Competitive salary and benefits package. This role will be fault finding and defect rectification of all functional machinery for water systems, saturated steam system, electrical systems. Experience from working in a marine, naval or military work environment would be an advantage for this role.
Responsibilities:
- To maintain High and Low pressure air systems, Lifting Equipment, Underwater Cameras, Video Recorders and associated marine equipment
- Maintenance/supervision of Safety Equipment in line with policy standards
- Undertake air quality testing
- Maintenance of Lifting Equipment
Skills and Experience required for the Marine Mechanical Support Technician role:
- Experience of maintaining High Pressure systems.
- Experience of fault finding, diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment.
- Experience of carrying out testing and inspecting mechanical systems.
- Qualified academically or vocationally to a minimum of ONC or equivalent in relevant subject matter
- Knowledge of how to use electronic Maintenance Management Systems.
Desirable:
- Experience of inspection of Lifting equipment an advantage, not an essential
- Health and Safety Risk Assessor/COSHH qualified
- Sea Survival Equipment Maintainer qualified
