Key responsibilities include:
•Work in line with our group values; Trust, Efficiency, Quality & Expertise and Can-do
•Provide leadership and guidance in HR matters; ensure awareness of best practice, legal and compliance issues and influence decisions on current performance.
•Shape, develop and implement a clear people strategy that feeds into the overall organisation’s business and people strategy and sets clear direction for HR Operations to enable delivery of the strategy. Evaluate and review the strategy to ensure it remains appropriate and in line with organisational KPI’s; identifying micro and macro trends and acting accordingly.
•Lead on talent management policies delivering the Groups objectives on “Thrive”; recruitment, development and succession
•Establish a sound succession plan for management, evaluate talent and identify those with potential.
•Oversee that each relevant business unit has robust and strategic recruitment and retention plans for those in their early careers and specialists.
•Provide leadership on development of reward and remunerations strategies, underpinned by job evaluation and salary benchmarking.
•Ensure the Group’s performance management process is delivered and that all relevant employees have either performance development plans or performance improvement plans.
•Deliver a career and personal development strategy for all employees whilst developing a learning culture.
•Manage diversity and promote equal treatment of employees.
•Drive initiatives that will promote staff engagement and achieve the groups objectives on staff satisfaction rating derived from the staff survey.
•Strengthen the organisational culture and improve trust, drawing on information from assessment methodology and survey results, ensuring that our values are lived and embedded in our people practices; acting on employee feedback.
•Ensure implementation of effective HR communication and develop opportunities for involvement and participation.
•Provide guidance required to understand the need for change, to identify the change requirements and to encourage continuous improvement.

•Has sound Judgement based on analytical and critical thinking in order to engage in high-impact decision-making both business and legislative.
•Is effective at Building Relationships creating a cohesive team with colleagues and working collaboratively (has professional credibility and is trusted by colleagues).
•Is a proven Leader leading change and business improvement through sound people management practices.
•Is Knowledgeable in employment law, change management, talent management and retention, and remuneration good practice.
•Qualified to graduate level and Chartered CIPD.
