Our client is a forward-thinking social organisation that positively impacts communities. They're also proud to create opportunities that make things happen - for people, families, homes and communities. They're a busy team with lots to do and can only achieve this if they've got the right resources so look for people and partners with as much enthusiasm and passion as they have for making things happen.

Joining our client as an Extra Care Scheme Coordinator, you will provide an effective scheme based function to the Extra Care Service and tenants residing within Extra Care through the delivery of housing management services and a range of activities that promote health and wellbeing of tenants.

Delivering a high quality, tenant focused service, you will let properties, complete tenancy sign ups within target and carry out new tenancy visits to ensure satisfaction; providing a professional housing management service ensuring relevant support to tenants living and accessing the scheme is in line with guidelines.

Managing the day to day running of the scheme including all housing management and maintenance of the building and its facilities, you must support and assist vulnerable tenants in maintaining their tenancy, signposting via referrals to social workers, tenancy support and money advice with the aim to help minimise debt and maximise income.

With experience of working within a housing related customer focussed environment and of operating a computerised data-based system, candidates should have knowledge of current legislation related to tenancy management, anti-social behaviour, rents and supported tenancies.  Good IT skills are required, and you must be capable of building and sustaining effective partnership working; experience within a care or hospital environment would be desirable but is not essential.

Due to the nature of the role, you must have a full driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.

As well as a competitive salary and a generous holiday entitlement, they offer a range of benefits for a rewarding career including a health cash plan, pension scheme, child care vouchers and staff discount club membership. We’ll also make sure you get the training and benefits you deserve.

Our client is currently under represented by Ethnic Minorities, LGBT Groups and people with a Disability and would particularly welcome applications from these groups, however any appointment would be made on merit.
