ASCL is seeking to appoint a Leadership, Governance and Primary Specialist to lead for the association on all matters related to the leadership and governance of schools and colleges, and to primary education.
This is an exciting opportunity to take your next step to occupy a national role at the forefront of profession-led policy at a time of considerable change. The post-holder will advise and support our members on all matters related to leadership, governance and primary education, including school leader and teacher career development, leadership qualifications, the governance of maintained schools, academies and multi-academy trusts, and issues specific to school leaders in the primary phase.
The successful applicant will also be expected to cover aspects of relevant related policy issues as required.
With experience in a senior leadership role within education, you will have working knowledge of the leadership and governance of schools and colleges in the UK. Knowledge of current education policies relevant to the leadership and governance of schools and colleges, and to primary education would be advantageous.
ASCL specialists are paid on a five point incremental range from £52,765 to £58,323 per annum. Reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses are also covered. The post-holder will work from home with IT and telephone equipment provided.
We offer a generous pension scheme, to which the association contributes 9%
