White Label have partnered with a leading engineering company in the Bradford area who are looking to recruit a Lab Technician due to company growth.
This is an opportunity a join a steady company going from strength to strength.
Purpose:
To assist in developing Group products to match the agreed specification. This will involve the testing of prototype cabinets, modification through the test programme, and liaison with other R&D staff during the testing phase.
To carry out additional testing on components as required.
To liaise with all relevant departments to ensure that the product meets all Company needs, including Sales and Marketing, Costing, Industrialisation, Production, Installation and Maintenance.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- To use own initiative to provide innovative solutions
- To understand the testing technologies in use in this industry and standards
- Electrically competent with practical experience
- Brazing competent
- Basic forming of sheet steel and engineering processes
- "Hands on" attitude
- To be able to manage projects from inception to successful completion
- Ability to operate MS Office Pack and provide reports
- Ability to use data logging instruments and software
- To be able to communicate effectively at all levels internally within the group, and with customers
- Basic knowledge of MRP Systems (preferred SAP)
- To be able to work effective as a member of a multidiscipline team at any level both locally, or as part of a larger group project.
- To be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Able to attend site visits to meet customers or contractors both in UK and abroad
- Technical support internal and external
Competencies
- ONC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in a Technical role
- Good IT skills
- Language skills advantageous
- Driving license
Benefits
A salary of 20-26k depending on experience
Working hours 37.5 per week
Monday to Friday 08:30am - 4:45pm with 45 minutes for lunch
5% pension
