Chef de Partie / Commis Chef
Multi Award Winning Independent Restaurant
GBP17,000-GBP18,000
We have an opportunity for a Chef de Partie or Commis Chef who is looking to step up to join this established kitchen team in an independently owned restaurant in the Spa town of Harrogate. The restaurant boasts a warm welcome with a fantastic reputation with both locals and visitors. You will work closely with the team to produce fresh, interesting dishes prepared from locally sourced fresh produce.
The Role - Chef de Partie /Commis Chef
As Chef de Partie/ Commis Chef you will work closely with the established team of chefs in this busy Harrogate based restaurant. You will adhere to all health and safety and hygiene standards, working in a clean and organised manner. Storing deliveries and rotating stock, ensuring all food is labelled correctly, managing portion control and keeping wastage to a minimum. If you are a Commis Chef looking to step up to the next level, training can be provided to ensure you work in line with the restaurant standards but you must have the ambition and drive to succeed.
As Chef de Partie you will:
* Have previous experience working in a fresh food establishment
* Have a good understanding of COSHH and HACCP
* Have excellent communication skills
* Be able to cope under pressure in a busy kitchen
* Be a team player with a good sense of humour
