Personal Tax Consultant - Blackpool
My client as an excellent opportunity for a Personal Tax Consultant to join the Tax Team in their Blackpool office to manage a mixed portfolio of clients covering all aspects of clients' taxation requirements. My client is a top 50 award winning professional services firm with an excellent reputation for training staff in a friendly and welcoming environment.
The role: Personal Tax Consultant
Location: Blackpool
Salary: Competitive depending on experience and qualification
Hours: Full Time
Benefits: Group life assurance, pension membership, private medical, flexible benefits scheme and staff social club (after qualifying period)
Duties will include:
* Responsibility for a client portfolio dealing with SA Returns and forms R40, computing tax positions, dealing with forms P11D(b) and P11D and billing target for client portfolio
* Liaising with partners/managers from other departments
* Assisting with one off project work, including tax planning matters
* Identifying planning opportunities for clients and cross referencing of other services of the firm
* Involvement in departmental marketing activities
* Involvement with meetings/calls with clients and other parties including HMRC as necessary
The successful candidate will need to:
* Be ATT qualified
* Have 2-3 years previous experience of managing a portfolio of clients
* Have a thorough working knowledge of self-assessment, benefits and expenses and employer taxation issues.
The ideal candidate will have experience of CCH personal tax software and knowledge of capital gains computations. Corporation tax experience would be preferable although not essential.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities whilst delivering high levels of client service
