The Client

Onward Homes is one of the largest registered provider of social housing, based solely in the North West of England.

In April 2017, we brought the Group together under the Onward brand to signal our intention to increase our impact and to make a greater contribution to the communities and customers we serve and we are delivering a major transformation change programme in the way in which we deliver services and how we are structured as a business.

The Role

As part of a continued focus on developing and shaping our customer services and supporting our wider operational teams, we are looking for a Wellbeing Manager (Older Person) (1 post) to join our Wellbeing Team.

Reporting to the Head of Wellbeing and Social Investment, you will provide subject matter expertise in sheltered and older people housing and lead a team to deliver our sheltered and older people’s housing offer across the organisation through an integrated

approach that helps make a positive difference to this customer group.

You will manage delivery of sheltered and older people housing services across the whole business to meet business objectives and regulatory standards.  This will ensure that expertise and support is tailored to the specific needs of each neighbourhood, including best practice and compliance, strategies, policies and procedures.  Working closely with colleagues in the Wellbeing Team, you will develop policy and procedures for delivery of sheltered and older people housing services across the whole business to ensure an approach that meets business objectives, regulatory standards and best practice.  You will investigate new funding opportunities, apply for funding to deliver sheltered and older people services within our neighbourhoods.

Working closely with the neighbourhood teams, you will ensure that sheltered and older people housing is part of neighbourhood plans and share information with the wider organisation to ensure that they are aware of legislative changes in the area of sheltered and older people housing. You will identify, build and develop an extensive network of external partnerships to ensure that the interests of the organisation are represented.

About You

It is essential you have experience of leading a large team to high level performance and customer service, working proactively to develop services.  You should have experience of housing management regulations and their application in a sheltered housing context, including CQC requirements and contract management and applying for, and securing, external funding for sheltered and older people housing services.  You must have experience of leading and developing people, with the ability to work with and influence external partners.

This post will cover our Lancashire region and therefore there is flexibility on the work base depending on the successful candidate.
