Director of Care
Central Croydon
Circa £70,000 depending on skills
The Whitgift Foundation is a 400 year-old charity based in Croydon, Surrey. Formed in 1596 by Archbishop John Whitgift, it's charitable aims are to provide education for the young and care for the elderly. It's current care services includes Almshouses, 34 sheltered flats, a 25 bed residential home and a 36 bed nursing home, all within Croydon. It also offers a day care service at both of its care homes and runs The Carers Information Service, which provides support and advice to carers in Croydon.
As part of its strategic development, the Foundation is looking to appoint a Director of Care to provide leadership to the Foundation's care services and contribute to its overall strategic development and operational and financial success.
This is a newly created position, reporting into the Chief Executive. The ideal post holder will have significant management experience in the adult care sector so they can ensure the Foundation's care services fully meet the requirements of our residents and clients, remain outstanding in quality and offer good value for money. They will also play a key role in developing strategic plans for future capital developments and opportunities.
So, if you are an experienced care professional and are looking for a new, exciting challenge, we would love to hear from you!
