Part Time Support Worker

This is a refugee like company based in Coventry giving women the support they need to live the life they deserve after leaving violent families and husbands.

As this is working with ethnic minority service users it is vital you can speak one of the following languages or similar , Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu or Punjabi.

It will be your job to visit these service users within the Coventry are and offer your time and support.

You will access situations and keep confidential records so you must be a trustworthy person. You will offer any guidance and advice with putting the service users in touch with the correct people, for example, banks, college courses, doctors, estate agents etc.

It is likely that most of these women will be sensitive and may suffer from some sort of mental health problems including depression. We are looking for someone who has had experience within this area and knows how to handle certain situations.

This is a part time role working Wednesday to Sunday and some on call shifts will be part of your role. You must be a driver and be able to get to Coventry within half an hour of an emergency. On call shifts does mean that some of your calls may be in the middle of the night.
