Machine Operator

This internationally respected manufacturer in King's Lynn is looking for a permanent, mechanically skilled Machine Operator for its Monday to Friday 6am till 2pm shift. You would be using your mechanical skills for setting, operating and adjusting, alongside clearing jams and maintenance on the large semi-automated production unit.

The Machine Operator role would include you supervising and end of line operative who checks the quality of the manufactured products and packs them. Other elements of the position include interacting with the engineers, problem-solving and completing relevant paperwork.

Machine Operator duties would include:

• Maintenance, setting, adjusting and clearing jam-ups.
• Using your mechanical knowledge to liaise with the engineers.
• Completing all relevant paperwork.
• Supervising the end of line quality checker/packer.

Machine Operator skills and abilities:

• Sound mechanical understanding and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to communicate well and supervise.
• Can do attitude to complete targets and meet deadlines.
• Experience of large automated machinery is desirable.

Machine Operator

You will start on the 6am till 2pm Monday to Friday shift for the initial 13 weeks of training, while training you will receive GBP9.72 per hour. Once training is completed, you will go on to a rate between GBP9.72 and GBP10.73 depending on how well you have learnt the role and your skills and experience.

Depending on the workflow there is the possibility of going onto the 2pm till 10pm shift, if this happens you receive an extra 10% shift bonus on your hourly rate.
