Lab Technician

Adecco Durham is currently recruiting for a Lab Technician for a temporary on-going contract based in the Newton Aycliffe area.

The pay rate is highly competitive, and includes benefits such as regular overtime and various shift patterns.

Key Responsibilities:
Generate, record and report analytical data in line with departmental procedures.
Good organisational, interpersonal and time management skills.
To work efficiently with supervision, as required.
Complete work and documentation to standards of compliance designated by external Regulatory bodies and internal Company procedures.
Have a good attendance and time keeping record in accordance with the general working practices of the department.

Qualifications/Skills:
Relevant experience in a laboratory, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry.
Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.Job Description

• Worker will operate production machines to perform operations or produce parts.
• Sets up machines, loads raw material into machines, manually operates machines, and unloads finished product from machine.
• Works from written or verbal instructions and general operating procedures, which requires the application of some judgement and selectivity.
• Operator has control over product quality.

Person Specification

• Proven work experience as a Production Operative or equivalent position
• Works with moderate work direction, and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving.
• Good mechanical aptitude and skills are required
• The ideal candidate would be flexible for various shift patterns
• Experience of SAP would be beneficial but not essential
