We are passionate about supporting people and work with world-class healthcare professionals who will go the extra mile to help their clients achieve their goals and rebuild their lives.

We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a fun-loving and athletic man with an acquired brain injury, who is a wheelchair user, but who can walk with support. He is looking for a Care / Support Worker to assist him with day-to-day activities on a flexible basis.

He lives life on his own terms and enjoys playing arcade machines and Xbox, quiz shows, music, socialising, crafts, card games, as well as going to the gym, swimming and shopping. He is family-oriented and spends a lot of time involved in family activities, supported by parents and siblings.

Your Role

As a Care / Support Worker, you will assist the service user with his mobility, emotional support, personal care and dietary requirements. As he lives in his own home, you will be required to undertake light housework and generally assist in keeping his home tidy.

He has an established Care Team who work closely with his parents, so you will need to be someone who is reliable and communicates well, to enable provision of integrated 24 hour care whilst maintaining a homely atmosphere for the client to feel comfortable and relaxed in.

Supported by a Case Manager, you will:

- Support the individual to carry out his physio on a daily basis at home and in the gym
- Facilitate the individual in engaging in his hobbies, such as fishing and archery, and community activities such as going to quiz nights, the pub and the cinema
- Assist the individual as necessary to undertake appointments in conjunction other staff members and/or parents

About You

To be considered as a Care / Support Worker, you will need:

- Care or support work experience
- A full, valid driving licence
- A flexible, can-do approach
- A good sense of humour

Any experience of working with someone with a brain injury, in a professional capacity in a client’s home, would be beneficial to your application.

Due to the nature of this role, non-smokers would be preferred, as you will be working in the service user’s home. As the service user has pets, the successful candidate will need to be willing to work around domestic animals.

Your Rewards:

- £12.00 per hour for weekday and £13.50 for weekend day hours
- National Living Wage for sleep-in hours
- Ongoing support from Circle Case Management
