WRS Tech are working with an industry leader in the maritime sector to source a driven Managing Director. As part of the wider international business, the role focuses on the strategic management of the towage operations in the south of the UK.
The role holds the overall P&L responsibility for the region and ensures the highest standards in safety and client delivery. As well as leading a diverse team of both onshore and offshore personnel you must champion a strong safety culture in accordance with internal and external legislation.
Other roles and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Develop key client relationships as well as developing other areas for growth in conjunction with commercial team
- Frequent travel to the different sites, meetings, conferences and wider group functions
- Define and develop key strategic objectives
- Build relationships with crew and union representatives to ensure company cultural values
- Ensure vessel efficiency and reliability of the vessel fleet
- Report to European senior management team
The ideal candidate will have held a senior management position within the maritime industry with strong business and leadership skills. A sound knowledge of financial management is essential as well as an analytical and professional manner. Ideally candidates will be based in Southampton.
