The group, established in 1998, provides prompt access to high quality professionals within the field of psychological therapies and mental health services, offering consultations, assessments, therapy and rehabilitation.

Due to expansion of their services, they are seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator to look after their premises in Canterbury.

Duties will involve;

- Developing and initiating a maintenance schedule for all premises.
- Maintaining general appearance and tidiness of external and internal areas.
- Regularly inspect outside fabric of the building, such as roofing, drainage, guttering - undertake basic repair work where possible.
- Regularly inspect fencing, walls, lighting, steps, ramps - undertake basic repair work where possible.
- Ensuring entrances and exits are clean and accessible at all times.
- Clear leaves, snow, ice etc as appropriate - ensuring appropriate HSE signage is used where necessary (e. slip hazard).
- Undertake routine maintenance and repair work such as;
o Basic plumbing
o Fixtures and fittings
o Painting and decorating
o Gardening
- Liaise with external contractors to discuss works to be carried out, obtain quotes and project manage to completion.
- Regularly inspect the buildings electrical fittings, reporting any concerns to Management and arranging electrician visits when required.
- General day-to-day caretaking duties e. dealing with large deliveries.
- Managing fire and security alarm systems, including routines tests and drills.
- Ensuring Psicon premises are compliant and up to date with health and safety legislation.
- Produce appropriate Risk Assessments and safe systems of working, in line with Health & Safety regulations and ensure that work is carried out to a safe manner.
- Possess a sound understanding of legislation relating to chemicals and dangerous substances (COSHH)
- Ensure the highest standards of work are achieved in an efficient and timely manner.
- Provide effective materials and machinery management to ensure all equipment is correctly stored and maintained.

Due to the nature of the work that we carry out, it is vital that candidates are professional, well presented, approachable and friendly in disposition.

The successful candidate will have prior experience working within a similar role, be skilled in basic maintenance and engineering, painting and decorating and basic plumbing. They will need to be up to date with their manual handling and health and safety training and ideally hold IOSHH certification. Candidates with additional skills in IT and telephony will have an advantage.

This position is to work Monday to Friday between 7 and 3. Some work will need to be undertaken on weekends for which prior notice will be provided. Whilst this is ideally a full time post, we will consider applications for part-time work for the right candidate.
